Wow, that's an extensive amount of curriculum!!! And I've been an educator for the past 30 plus years!!! From an educator's viewpoint, you've put together an awesome learning experience!

Sophia McDonaldI want to thank you once again for a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the industry, practice business skills, build great connections and for an opportunity of a great personal growth. I was expecting the Matchmaking Business Kit to be interesting but it had exceeded my every expectation. I got a lot out of it - I got a new vision, learned new strategies, tactics and had a chance to get feedback at my current business plan and PR program for my future business development.

I found the content to be sufficient and well presented, and materials to be very well organized.

Besides that, I felt very welcome and comfortable at the Matchmaker Conference. Its atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Every question, I had, was handled with great attention and was immediately addressed. The whole conference was engaged into teamwork and was very cooperative.

I would recommend both the kit and the conference to others without any hesitation.

It is the best thing to do in the country for new matchmakers and a great opportunity for people who are already in the business to network and to exchange with great ideas and their experience.

Living deliberately,

There is always a risk when getting information from an institution that you know very little about. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith. Because of the news articles and the television pieces, I felt that it would probably be o.k. but still I was nervous that it could turn out to be a Mickey Mouse experience. Paying for the kit, conference, flight and hotel is not an inexpensive endeavor after all.

As an experienced business woman, I was feeling a little cynical, but actually it far exceeded my expectations. I found all of the speakers to be genuine, knowledgeable and really wishing for the students to have a good foundation prior to embarking on this most personal business.

The sections in the Start-Up Kit covered about everything that would be required to conduct a matchmaking business. I'm experience in business, public relations and marketing, even so I did learn a lot. Every section was followed with additional reading and information required to do the job professionally.

Some of us had experience in human relations (whether in social work or other forms of dating services), this was the area that I was less informed about. I found all basis were covered extremely well, give the time restraints.

I particularly enjoyed hearing stories by successful matchmakers, their pitfalls, mistakes and successes. By hearing these personal experiences (particularly about spending too much money at the beginning) helped the students realize to start small and grow on their success - a very good suggestion in all aspects of life and business. Stories about "difficult' clients were also well covered, after all, this would be one of the most worrisome aspects of the business.

The students shared experiences, if they wanted to, and the instructors were there to answer any questions or concerns. Marketing and starting the business was very well covered, and we all knew that we could continue to have an open dialogue with others in the industry through the other attendees, speakers or through the website.

I would have no problem recommending it to anyone interested. Matter of fact, I would suggest that it was a necessity. It gave a great foundation, and I got to know some really great people - one of which I met up with in Hong Kong when I was there on business.

Matchmaking is a daunting career and the matchmaking 'Business in a Box' helped ease many of my concerns. I plan on starting up my business shortly, and I have tons of notes and handouts to use as reference (most importantly was samples of the questionnaires that you would use to gain information from the clients.). Well that's it for now. It was great. Thanks again, and with kind regards.
